In 2012 it was born a biennale project, Do ut do, to raise funds for the Hospice Foundation MT.C. Seràgnoli onlus, a private organization that is responsible, since 2002, for assistance, training, research and dissemination in the field of palliative care.

The initiative aims to create a continuous connection between art, design, fashion, film and music. Everything is possible thanks to the collaboration of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, the MAXXI in Rome and Mambo – Museum of Contemporary Art of Bologna.

While the first edition was dedicated to contemporary art, the second will be focused to the design and will be attended by world famous designers like Odile Decq, Michele De Lucchi, Doriana and Massimiliano Fuksas, Massimiliano Iosa Ghini, Alessandro Mendini, Richard Meyer, Mimmo Paladino and Claudio Silvestrin. Guest stars exception of this edition will be the artist duo MASBEDO, which, for the occasion, created a new video, Look Beyond, which was projected during the presentation of the event at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.

Do ut do will be divided into two public events to admire the significant and unique new works: the first exhibition will be held in spring at the MAXXI in Rome, the second will take place in autumn, at the Mambo – Museum of Contemporary Art of Bologna. On this occasion will also be assigned the works for grabs by draw. We are ready to follow the evolution of this unique event in the history of design.
