Thin layers, wear a dress like flipping the pages of a book; that is the concept of Steven Tai, a brillant and promising young designer coming from Central Saint Martin and at the same time working as assistant for Bless, Viktor & Rolf and Stella McCartney.
“Being a book lover and nerd myself, I wanted to combine the techniques of bookbinding layers of fabric with the silhouette of the nerd. Sleeves and pants end a little short to create an awkward and interesting feeling. And recognizable nerd characteristics are reinterpreted and used through out the looks. The clothes are humorous and strong – which is a way for me to celebrate the idea of a confident nerd” sais Steven.
