For this collection, Christopher Raeburn‘s collection was inspired by survival, endurance and immersion with the aptly named collection. The idea of exploring the open ocean, endeavouring to survive the cruel hardships and formidable conditions. This collection was balanced out with some bright colours, playful exploration of fabrics and technique.
In order to keep the life raft as inspiration, unique inflatable outerwear made by latex rubber was created; a new puffer jacket and gilet in bold read and blues were added into the collection. Shark prints continue to play a pivotal role in the collection, as the shark’s tooth were used as motifs and carefully , masterfully integrated into digital prints onto sweat shirts, t-shirts and joggers. Not only just those inspiring jackets and silhouettes was created in this collection, the accessories were also epic and eye-catching such as the bold red shark bag, it was definite the highlight of this collection to my opinion.
Christopher Raeburn also collaborated with premium footwear brand Purified to created an exclusive boot and a shoe to complement to the AW15 collection.
