My quote: “one photo out of focus is a mistake, ten photos out of focus is an experimentation, one hundred photos out of focus is a style.” This quote keeps me grounded and pushes me to strive towards producing work that is personal, original and influential. I’ve always admired photography and was always interested in this form of Art from an early age. When I was 10 years old I received as a Christmas Present, a Russian(USSR MADE) CMEHA SMENA 8M camera, which I still have today. That’s where my real passion for photography started.

During my Tertiary studies in Photography the greatest influence on me and my work was a Dutch photographer and producer Anton Corbijn. I fell in love with his black and white work, his angles, composition, subject and final printing effects. The other person which profoundly inspired me in recent years is James Nachtwey. His war reportage work is simply breathtaking and dramatic. He is an inspiration and to Me, the best photojournalist to date.
Between 2009 and 2010, I spent 7 months traveling through more than 30 Countries shooting and documenting various aspects of the World. It has been an amazing experience and it shifted my consciousness a photographer.
I currently reside in Melbourne Australia. My Philosophy is quiet simple. Pushing myself at all times, not be constrained to market ideas and views. Be different, interesting and through photography be a voice for those who don’t have one. Lastly, adapt a very truthful quote by Robert Capa – “ If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough’’.

One of the stories from my Travels is this Nomadic Family Reportage. This family lives on a Desolated Black Desert in Southern Morocco. Their makeshift homes are about 2 hours drive in a 4X4 from the nearest Village. They rely on local access to food and water, and occasionally get other essentials from the passing Caravans. The three Generation Family welcomed me into their tents, their generosity and hospitality was overwhelming. I personally think in order to be able to get close and be able to shoot such Family, One has to be accepted.
