Roslyn Julia is from a small town in western NY called Corning. She completed a two year associates degree in Fine Arts and Design from the SUNY school, Corning Community College. She currently attends the BFA Photography program at The School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Her work illustrates a quest of finding one’s own place in the world and reflecting upon it. The images transcend reality to show a fleeting moment, that like a memory, will not be remembered in full clarity. The vast and seemingly empty scenes reveal a paradox of hope and hopelessness within one image. All of her work explores perception and inner being, lending room for contemplation and even a feeling of nostalgia.

Tito Mouraz was born in 1977 in Canas de Senhorim, Portugal.
Open Space Office
The series presented here was shot in Portugal over a 2-year period and represents a transformed landscape that portrays the existence of Man as a constructive, reconstructive and contemplative being. The landscape appears completely and irreversibly transformed and it was this transformation that caught my eye and fueled my interest in conducting this project, basing it on this very landscape.
Thus, the work presented aims to portray a reality that suffers an ongoing daily process of rapid transformation. Therefore, the pictures show a temporary reality inserted in a natural landscape undergoing progressive transmutation. They are unique and imposing spaces with a undeniable visual impact which bestow on the images a strong formal and plastic content. I would like to emphasize that these were the aspects I concentrated on and attempted to visually portray the best that this intervention could present to the eye, both in relation to the formal configuration and in relation to the chromatic and lighting harmony that characterize these spaces that create a unique environment. In this way, we can behold a dialogue between Nature and Man’s action, between harmony in a texturized cutting and what develops in it, what involves and transforms it, as is particularly visible in the first images of this series, that portray the idea of an organic whole.
I find it difficult to transmit on film the personal experience and all that one feels and observes at these immense and torn sites, where silence is felt in an unnatural and intimidating way. It is a well know fact that an image cannot replace reality. That is why I chose to include parts of a hidden horizon or an incomplete landscape, in this way suggesting a different perspective, since the proximity to these sites which grow in the opposite direction to what is normal, are usually unobserved by the spectator almost giving them the chance to rebuild them.

Cláudia Baúto is a 26 years old photography lover from Lisbon, Portugal, who does not consider herself a photographer yet, but wants to take it seriously in time.

She’s not the kind of photographer that likes to photograph everything, or that carries her camera everywhere she goes, that’s really not her method or even the reason she loves to photograph. She’s a little selective when comes to subject. So what really attracts her is to capture people, portraits, spontaneous and/or staged and create a story around that.

Mostly because her biggest inspiration comes from music and the emotions involved in it, when she creates images with a concept, by telling a story, she tries to carry the music to the photograph. So music comes first, and then photography. Along with this, she’s also a big fan of fashion editorials, so surely some inspiration, especially in composition, comes from it, as the desire to grow into fashion photography.

Ireneusz Luty was born and raised in Warsaw Poland. He graduated in finance and banking in 2004 from the University of Warsaw and moved to Sydney Australia to continue his education. In 2006 he finished his studies in business management at the Australian School of Business and Technology and in 2008 completed his post-graduate study in accounting at the University of Sydney.

During his education he continued to further develop his long-time interest in photography. He is a freelance photographer currently living and working in Sydney. His work and personal projects focus predominantly on documenting social landscape through urban and street photography, looking for unique perspectives in capturing the beauty in daily life.

“City de noirî is a unique and engaging photographic exploration which presents the viewer with Sydney from new and unexpected angles. Pictures explore the ordinary moments absorbed by the intensity of everyday city life, encapsulates the fleeting experience and focuses on the beauty in the mundane. The unpredictable and ever changing nature of the city is conveyed through fluid and dynamic compositions and form, which is achieved through long exposure infrared photography. Pictures create the surreal impression of urban life immersed in rapid city environment. Luty encourages the viewer to examine, consider and reconsider what they see and perceive in his works. Ordinary scenes of everyday life are thus made extraordinary. Sydney is re-imagined and re-presented to the viewer in dark, mysterious and illusory way.

Hugo Michaux studied photography in is home city of Brussels, Belgium, before dropping out to work in fashion and commercial photography as an assistant to a number of national and international photographers.

His interests, though rooted in photojournalism, have developed to encompass all facets of the art. He has spent years travelling the world and developing his own personal projects as he goes.

Exposure to different environments have given Michaux a unique vision of the world that embraces both a taste for the exotic and eye for the everyday, with a particular eye for images that produce an emotional reaction in the spectator.

Attualmente sta studiando fotografia all’Istituto Europeo di Design, a Milano.

Martyna Gumuła is a 23 old Polish photographer from Gdansk. She studied Journalism and Public Relations at the Gdansk School Of Humanities.
She started her career in photography five years ago. She chose this artistic direction because she feels a great affinity with the enhanced beauty of a frozen moment in time. Martyna mainly focuses on the female form studying the relationship between inner and outer beauty as well as the innocence of self awareness. She likes making portraits because faces, and above all eyes, are the most expressive parts of the human being.
Martyna has always been artistic. She started with sketching and painting and then graduated into photography. Initially she took many pictures of random subjects and the obvious next step was to start working with models. Initially she found her inexperience in photographic settings very challenging but she learnt very quickly and soon developed her own style, and after several sessions, realized her passion lay in the more taboo areas of ‘Polish’ society. She needed to push the boundaries and grow in her ability and capture the truth in movement, people and their emotions. This led to a publishing session during a music video shoot 30STM inspired by ‘Hurricanes’, which was published in her portfolio in April 2012.

Martyna firmly believes that the learning process never ends. So she continues with practice day sessions and is very proud to have worked with, among others, Polish singer Anna Maria Jopek and also collaborated with one of the hottest designers in Poland Robertem Kupiszem as well as model Ilona Felicjańska.
For this photographer, photography means escaping from the mundane to the sublime. To show the beauty and perfection in a captured moment by removing the imperfections and also adding fantasy and fairytale. Her photographs not only show the beauty of models but also shows the story of everyone of them , like a sentimental journey reflecting the art of her life. Evolution is very important for Martyna , she wishes to expand her imagination through discussion by choosing controversial topics such as abortion and fetish. She wants to take photographs that impressed people and make them debate. Art is emotion.

My first memory of a child is the sea. The sea with its long horizons, and the white light, the taste of the wind and the smell of salt. The sea was the world of meeting and loneliness. Where I learned to swim and to watch. These pictures are the evocation of an almost dream-like world, that could be north or south, that could be everywhere.

The time is past, but remembrance is still there, the first memory, where I wondered why the sand was hot, who was the woman who smiles, the other girls’ names, why the gentleman in the jacket does not put the costume on. And the mermaids swimming in the pool near the sea..I remember the rocks where I saw a man the first time, and all the white light that covered everything. And the more I looked at the horizon, the more I realized that the world ended there.
