Artist’s biography:

Philippine-born photographer JC Epong immigrated to the United States in 2004 leaving behind his career path as an architect. As a fan of everything visual, He became interested in art at an early age. He would lock himself in his room all day and sketch endless visualizations of landscapes and portraits. Now the 28 year old has taken the streets as his canvas.

JC Epong is an avid traveler; one that prefers to cover as much space as possible on foot, bikes and trains. He never focuses on the length of the travel but instead in the opportunity to capture something exciting along the way. “Time is the thing I treasure most, for once it’s gone, it’s gone forever. It can never be replicated; its value has no equal. Photography helps me take an instant out of time, makes me cherish moments more by holding it still. I incorporate Photography in adventures, that’s how I find my images or they find me.”

Finding Photography as the most accurate and portable medium to express his vision and passion for documenting, he now devotes a substantial amount of time honing his craft as a documentary photographer. “My mission is to create a Prosperous world around me by nurturing my creativity and sharing it with others. Happiness comes when my work is of benefit to myself and others.”
