From May 2 to July 27, 2025, MAGMA presents the sixth edition of ELEMENTI, the acclaimed itinerant festival of music, performance, and contemporary visual arts. Launched in 2020, ELEMENTI aims to create immersive, site-specific experiences in emotionally powerful natural landscapes throughout the Romagna region, offering a unique fusion of art and environment.

This year, ELEMENTI invites audiences once again to discover breathtaking outdoor stages in Ravenna, Cervia, Bagnacavallo, Faenza, and Bagnara di Romagna. Each low-environmental-impact event highlights the natural characteristics of its location. The 2025 program features 12 site-specific performances spread over 7 days, confirming ELEMENTI’s interdisciplinary approach to multisensory contemporary art dissemination.

The festival opens on Friday, May 2, at the MAR – Museum of Art of Ravenna, with Ima Koko Watashi, an improvisational dance and sound performance featuring dancers Chikako Kaido, Kristin Shuster, Antonio Stella, and percussionists Enrico Malatesta and Le Quan Ninh. Reservation required at riservaree@gmail.com.

On Saturday, May 10, the Ex Convento di San Francesco in Bagnacavallo hosts a vibrant evening with emerging Portuguese artist Inês Malheiro, a DJ set by MAGMA, and a live performance by British artist Memotone.

On Sunday, June 8, the woodland of Villa Emaldi in Faenza transforms into a stage for live performances by Clarice Calvo-Pinsolle’s Lamina project and Scottish experimental musician Sholto Dobie, followed by a DJ set curated by Gaspare Caliri.

On Sunday, June 29, starting from the Kayak Club of Cervia, ELEMENTI proposes a participatory and performative journey through sound and movement by multidisciplinary artist Canedicoda, experienced by the audience via canoe. The evening continues with live performances by French emerging talents Megabasse and Romain de Ferron.

On Sunday, July 13, the salt dunes of Aia della Salina in Cervia provide a lunar-like setting for a sunset performance by emerging Mexican artist Vica Pacheco. Reservation required at riservaree@gmail.com.

On Friday, July 18, the medieval Rocca of Bagnara di Romagna hosts a concert by Antonina Nowacka, with side activities including guided tours of the Pietro Mascagni Museum and a site-specific piano performance by Giovanni Battista de Pol.

Finally, on Sunday, July 27, the North Pier of Cervia becomes the stage for a dawn concert and installation by Renato Grieco (KNN) with his Pungilingua spoken word project.

Supported by Fondazione del Monte, local municipalities, and media partners like Radio 3 and ZERO, ELEMENTI 2025 promises another unforgettable journey blending contemporary creativity with Romagna’s stunning landscapes. Entry to all events is free.
