"Little Syrian fighters"

Matej Lancic, Slovenian freelance photographer based in Maribor. I’m focused on social and humanitarian issues concerns mostly focusing on isolated or weakened communities around the world.

The story was taken in unofficial refugee camp Faida, Bekaa Valley, Lebanon.

This Photos are about Syrian kids fighting for Syria trough learning. On my first day in refugee camp i visited improvised school where kids were singing a song, so i asked teachers for lyric’s translation. After reading the translation i decided to photograph by lyrics:

Syria paradise

We all coming back to rebuild you
Syria Syria Syria
I’ll not give up learning
I’ll be better than all
In my morality
It’s my right to learn
I dont want to live in pain
No No No
