Student Demonstration in Venice against the Government


Such as in England, also in Italy students protesting cuts in spending for Italian schools.
In Venice, one of the most importants square in the world as it is Piazza San Marco, a group of students rise up to the San Mark’s Basillica showing a message to the university and school minister: “It’s the final Countdown DDL Gelmini (The minister)”.

*The Italian parliament is debating a bill presented by education minister Maria Stella Gelmini that includes cutting funds to faculties and courses which the government contends attract few students. The government says the resources could be better spent elsewhere. Critics say funding cuts will lead to lower education standards.
