The Hidden Branch
[dropcap type=”1″]T[/dropcap]he Hidden Branch explores Southside Gardens, a neighborhood in Portsmouth, VA that resides across the street from one of the largest shipyard in the world, the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. This neighborhood houses many of the welders, plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and many other occupations who work at the shipyard. I want to examine the day to day life in this close knit community that essentially sits next to a facility that produces and houses weapons of mass destruction.
