Australian film maker Michael Danischewski has teamed up with Japanese
born, Berlin based artist, Hiroyasu Tsuri – aka Twoone – to deliver Cast a Shadow, a filmic portrait.
Filmed over three months, Cast a Shadow deliberately eschews a process driven thematic, choosing instead to take the viewer on an intimate exploration of the artist’s many characters and the creative beast that lies within.
An investigation into Twoone’s psychological portraiture series, the film delves deep into the artist’s subconscious and demonstrates the physical manifestation of these thoughts as they arise during the creative process.
The resulting film is as innovative as it is insightful as we watch the artistic progression unfold from subconscious thought, to cognition and into its final iteration as a physical object.
