Momentum is a creative union of street photographers eastern European origin shooting unfamiliar people in public places: people as individuals, people as representatives of a particular class, a special group with common features, people as shapes, as parts of the environment complementing and adding life to a piece of the plane. We are delighted to share our vision of human street life surrounding us at home and while travelling.

Mikhail Palinchak Jr. is a Ukrainian photographer born in January 1985 in Uzhgorod, Ukraine. Since 2005 and up to now residing and working in Kiev, Ukraine. He’s a member of the National Society of Photo Artists of Ukraine (NSPAU) and the Ukrainian Photographic Alternative (UPHA) and Momentum street collective. Mikhail was short-listed on the 1st Street Photography Festival in Russia (2012).
Max Chichinskiy was born in November 1991 in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, now residing in Wroclaw, Poland. He is a member of Ukrainian Photographic Alternative (UPHA) and Momentum street-photography collective. Max is one of the winners of the 3rd Portfolio Review in Kyiv, Ukraine.
Maria Plotnikova was born in 1984 in Moscow. She studied philology in Moscow State Pedagogical University. In 2007 she graduated from the annual photojournalism course at Moscow State University. In 2010 Maria with her family moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2012 Maria Plotnikova was short-listed at the London Festival of Photography and became a finalist of the Moscow Festival of Street Photography.
Kirill Kotov was born in 1990 in Moscow. In 2011 he graduated with a degree in family psychology. During his 1st year at university Kirill became captivated by photography. Kirill’s photographs have been published in several Russian and Ukrainian photography magazines.
