Six artists (Rose Akras and Dirk Jan Jager, Grasiele Sousa, Lucio Agra, Maicyra Leão, Walmeri Ribeiro) were performing on Sunday the 12th at the Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik in Moabit as part of the MPA-B (Month of performance art Berlin) event.
Surrounded by the northwest side industrial areas, the ZKU is an interesting location (a former trading station) which was converted into a space for art.
From 4pm to 8pm, the six artists performed around the space of the ZKU centre as integral part of the location. Each one acted a personal connection with the ambient giving rise to an imaginary and fictitious passage in which the visitor, walking between the park and the indoor room, could empathise into different feelings. From 8:30pm to 11pm, has followed, a post-performance discussion with ZKU artists-in-residence Ilya Noe (also MPA-B Associate Curator), Andy Houston and Miodrag Kuc.
