Jane Fonda and Robert Redford Golden Lions at Venezia74


[dropcap type=”1″]O[/dropcap]n the 1st September in Sala Grande of the Palazzo del Cinema – Venice Lido – Jane Fonda and Robert Redford will both receive a Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement.

The award ceremony will take place before the screening of the Netflix film Our Souls at Night, entered in the Out of Competition category and directed by Ritesh Batra, starring both the actors and being produced by Redford’s company Wildwood Enterprises, Inc.

With more than 50 years of acting, both Jane Fonda and Robert Redford have been part of the history of American cinema and culture. Despite their age, they still have that same talent that made them famous. A lifetime career in cinema and also a lifetime friendship has been a solid part of their life, putting them together in four films.

One of these four films will be presented for the category Special Screenings at the Venice Film Festival. The Electric Horseman, directed by Sydney Pollack and produced by Robert Redford, will be screened in its original version, with Italian subtitles, on August 31st in Sala Volpi at 5:30 pm.
