I work as a digital tech and assistant for photographers. When I am traveling for work or for pleasure I ask a stranger to come to my hotel room and I take a portrait of them. There must be a connection felt and then I approach them. Within the first 5 minutes of our conversation I ask them to part take in my project. The idea of intimacy and trust amongst strangers has always been very interesting to me and this project lets me further explore these connections.
Heami Lee was born in Seoul, raised in Queens and ripening in Brooklyn.
