Photos by Luca Tombolini

Born 1979 in Milan. Completed classical studies and then a degree in Sciences of Communication, with final assignment on visual rhetoric in Cinema. At university I met with photography and decided to follow my passion for it, experimenting in large format negative film.

Since 2011 drum scanning and printing on large scale prints; landscapes and real life scenes.

Tecnical Data:

Lambda C-type prints, mounted on aluminum, 166x125cm, large format colour negative film, drum scanned.

Artist Statement:

Once again to experience deserts. Contemplation, a spiritual trip. To surrender, to abandon the self; Time blurs. Limits of perception. Everything is related, everything that moves exists. This trip has no conscious destination. We are on a journey.

My photographic research uses landscapes as a synecdoche to question Time, Space, Universe and our relation to them.
